| Quest for the Source of Darkness
Patricia Perry was born in Germany and moved to the United States as a child. She now lives in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.
Her book Quest for the Source of Darkness was released on 2005. The Source of Darkness, a potent magic sought by the evil demon Mahn, surfaces in the land. Mahn uses an army of demons and subjugated men to plague the Races while seeking the power to destroy all mortals. The elves, dwarves and the nomadic Herkahs must find a way to unite and thwart Mahn's advance and secure the Source of Darkness before he does.
The Source of Darkness is not the only magic in the land. The elves also have a power, the Green Might, but it is as elusive as the sinister force Mahn is pursuing. If Mahn manages to obtain the Source, then he will be powerful enough to seize the Green Might and take away any chance the allies have of defeating him. | ERAGON, THE DRAGON |
|

ERAGON
The story of Eragon the dragon began when Christopher Paoline was in his teens and daydreaming. He is now twenty-two-years old. All the characters are from his own imagination, except Angela, the herbalist, who is based on his sister.
His family had self-published the book and had spent a year promoting it in bookstores, libraries and schools throughout the country.
In the summer of 2003, author, Carl Hiaasen's stepson bought the book. Mr. Hiaasen took the copy to his publisher, Alfred A. Knopf. Mr. Knoph then had required the rights and the rest of the Inheritance trilogy.
"Eldest" continues the saga of a teenage boy who found what he believed to be a rock, only to discover that the "rock" is a dragon egg.
Eragon is now going to be released as a movie on December 15, 2006. His website www.alagaesia.com is offering a contest to win Sweepstake tickets to the Premier of Eragon. Entries have to be in between June 20, 2006 to October 15, 2006. Good luck!

| WICKED |
|
|
|
"Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West," by Gregory Maguire. It was published in 1995 and inspired the long-running Broadway musical "Wicked." Readers will see Oz from the perspective of the infamous witch, and learn about what happened in her life long before Dorothy ever set foot on the yellow brick road.
The re-immagined Oz is filled with satirical intrigue, including a movement by Munchkinland to secede. It is a fun book to read for the summer, especially, if you were a child who had once loved "The Wizard of Oz."
The book normally sells for $16.00 and the Amazon's site www.amazon.com is selling it for $6.40. I last checked this information on June 24, 2006.
