The Secrets
Many people ask about the secrets
of Medugorje. "When will they take place?" "What are they about?" How will we
know when they are going to happen?" That is why I have put this page togather.
Everything that we know is listed here - there is nothing more. As soon as the
secrets are announced, I will post a message with what has been revealed
concerning the secret announced. Please do not send me eMail requesting more
information about the secrets. I have not inside information. The Priests in
Medugorje do not know. Our Lady has given her secrets to the Medugorje
visionaries and they have often said that they can not speak about them. Worry
about one thing, as Our lady recommends - conversion, because when the secrets
are revealed, it will be too late to convert.
Information Mirjana gave to Fr.
Tomislav Vlasic on November 5, 1983:
Before the visible sign is given to
mankind, there will be three warnings to the world. The warnings will be in the
form of events on earth. Mirjana will be a witness to them. Ten days before one
of the admonitions, Mirjana will notify a priest of her choice. The witness of
Mirjana will be a confirmation of the apparitions and a stiumlus fo the
conversion of the world.
After the admonitions, the visible sign will appear
on the site of the apparitions in Medjugorje for all the people to see. The sign
will be given as a testimony to the apparitions and in order to call people back
to faith.
The ninth and tenth secrets are serious. They concern chastisement
for the sins of the world. Punishment is inevitable, for we cannot expect the
whole world to be converted. The punishment can be diminished by prayer and
penance, but it cannot be eliminated. Mirjana says that one of the evils that
threatened the world, the one contained in the seventh secret, has been averted
by prayer and fasting. That is why the Blessed Virgin continues to encourage
prayer and fasting:
'You have forgotten that through prayer and fasting you
can avert wars and suspend the laws of nature.'
After the first admonition,
the others will follow in a rather short time. Thus, people will have some time
for conversion.
That interval will be a period of grace and conversion. After
the visible sign appears, those who are still alive will have little time for
conversion. For that reason, the Blessed Virgin invites us to urgent conversion
and reconciliation.
The invitation to prayer and penance is meant to avert
evil and war, but most of all to save souls.
According to Mirjana, the events
predicted by the Blessed Virgin are near. By virtue of this experience, Mirjana
proclaims to the world: 'Convert as quickly as possible. Open your hearts to
God.'
October 25, 1985
Our Lady showed Mirjana the first secret - the
earth was desolate:
"It is the upheaval of a region of the world. In the
world there are so many sins. What can I do, if you do not help me. Remember
that I love you. God does not have a hard heart. Look around you and see what
men do, then you will no longer say that God has a hard heart. How many people
come to church, to the house of God, with respect, a strong, faith, and love
God? Very few! Here you have a time of grace and conversion. It is necessary to
use it well."
Mirjana chose Fr. Petar Ljubicic to reveal the secrets to the
world. Ten days before the first secret is to be revealed, Fr. Petar will be
given a parchment containing the ten secrets. This parchment was given to
Mirjana by Our Lady. Anyone can see this parchment but it cannot be read by
those viewing it. When Fr. Petar receives the parchment, he will only be able to
read the first secret. During the ten days, Fr. Petar is to spend the first
seven days in fasting and prayer. Theree days before the event takes place, he
is to announce it to the world. At the proper time, he will be able to see and
read the second secret, and then the third, etc., according to the schedule of
Heaven.
"Pray very much for Father Petar, to whom I send a Special Blessing.
I am a Mother, that is why I have come. You must not fear for I am
here."
January 5, 1983
Ivan, Jakov, Marija, and Vicka relate the following
information to Fr. Tomislav: Marija has received seven secrets; Vicka has
received eight; Jakov, Ivanka, and Ivan have received nine; and Mirhana has
received ten.
Regarding the time of the sign; it's month and year, Ivan says:
"It is forcasted."
January 18, 1987 (To Marija at Sarajevo)
...
"Concerning the secrets, my children, these are not known by the people. But
when they will learn of them, it will be too late. Return to prayer! There is
nothing more important! I would dearly wish that the Lord would permit me to
enlighten you a little more on these secrets, but the grace which is offered to
you is already great enough." ...
June 25, 1988
Our Lady spoke to Ivanka
about the third and fourth secrets. During that period of the apparitions,
Ivanka's face became very serious and grave. The apparition lasted 15 minutes.
Ivanka's 1989 apparition lasted eight minutes. During some of that time, as if
continuing where She left off, Our Lady spoke to Ivanka about the first part of
the fifth secret. Again, this year, Our Lady continued, this time speaking about
the last half of the fifth secret. During this time, Our Lady was not happy and
it was reflected in Ivanka's face.
June 25, 1989
Ivanka said Our Lady
spoke to her about the first half of the sixth secret. It has been realized that
during Ivanka's last four annual apparitions Our Lady has spoken about the
secrets in progression. In 1998, Our Lady spoke about the third and fourth
secrets. In 1989, She spoke about the first half of the fifth secret. In 1990,
as if continuing where She left off the previous year, Our lady spoke about the
last half of the fifth secret. In 1991, Our Lady spoke to her about the first
half of the sixth secret. Everything Our Lady has done for a reason. The
discussion of these secrets in this progression is in itself a message to
us.
March 18, 1995
After her appaition, Marjana said: "She spoke to me
about the secrets, but I cannot say anything about that."
August 25,
1991
"Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before,
when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away
plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in his
decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still
more firmly. I invite you to renunciation for nine days, so that with your help,
everything I wanted to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima may be
fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to grasp the importance of my coming and
the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to
God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun, be fully realized.
Thank you for having responded to my call."
